With this new function you can rotate items eccentric. With the local transform you can rotate and move each item from the center. With the gizmo transform you can place the gizmo at a different location and rotate and move each item from that point in space.
You can rotate items over their own center, or offset to the gizmo’s position. Turn on the gizmo transform to rotate the selection outside their centers. Turn on the local transform to rotate each item over their own center. This can be very useful to rotate multiple screws at once for example.
